We’ve got another recipe for homemade popsicles that are not only nutritious, but delicious too! My son gobbled up these Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Popsicles and also tried them as a smoothie! Don’t you just love a versatile recipe?

Today is the final day of our Summer Play Days series. This week we joined the creative ladies behind Buggy and Buddy, Fun-A-Day, Nothing if Not Intentional, and Play Trains! for 3 straight days of summer fun.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Popsicles. Can also make these as a smoothie. A perfect healthier treat for the kids!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Popsicles
Serves: 2-4
Tasty and nutritious. Make these as popsicles or smoothies. A perfect summer treat for the kids!
  • 2 medium bananas
  • ⅓ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • ⅔ cup milk
  • 2 tsp peanut butter
  • 1 tsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp honey
  • mini chocolate chips (optional)
  1. Combine all ingredients (except chocolate chips) in a food processor or blender.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. Add more cocoa & honey, peanut butter, or banana to adjust taste to your preferences.
  4. Pour into a glass and enjoy as a smoothie (in this case, omit chocolate chips).
  5. Or, mix in chocolate chips and pour into popsicle molds to freeze.

Peanut (age 4) liked the popsicle and smoothie versions of this healthy treat equally. I preferred the recipe as a popsicle. Try them and let me know which you and your kids like best!
